Gold accounts
Certain features on the site are only available to members with a gold account. You can get yourself a gold account for a very cheap £7.50, €10 or $15 USD. Your subscription to the gold account will last a year, and will give you the following features:
- View hi-res versions of gallery photos (where available).
- Upload an image to become your avatar.
- Lock your account name to make it unique.
- Save up to 20 custom gallery searches (up from 4).
- No adverts.
- Store up to 1000 active photos in your portfolio, up from 150 (normal accounts) or 300 (enhanced account).
- Place up to 30 photos in the gallery each day, up from 5 (normal accounts) or 10 (enhanced accounts).
- Create unlimited challenges, as opposed to the limit of 10 for normal accounts or 30 for enhanced accounts.
- Create up to 5 concurrent challenges as opposed to one at a time.
- Unlock the limit of only being able to see the last 8 photos that you liked on your favourites page.
- You'll be able to see how many people liked your photos on the active photos page of your private portfoilo.
Locking account names
On this site, account names aren't unique. Members are uniquely identified by their member ID, which is the number that
appears in the URL for the member's public portfolio.
When you subscribe to a gold account, your account name is made unique. The account name that you are using when you subscribe will be locked
for the duration of the subscription. You'll be able to change your account name as normal afterwards, but
anything you change it to subsequently won't be locked.
Locking account names is on a first-come, first-served basis only. When an account name is locked, all other accounts with the same name will automatically be renamed with a underscore and number appended to them. Your account name will be changed if someone else locks an account with the same name, even if you were the first member to use that name.
The account name lock expires after a year (unless you renew your subscription) and is once more available for other people to use.
Upgrade your account
Upgrading your account only takes a couple of minutes and you can pay by credit or debit card through a secure payment gateway.
Once your payment is processed you'll be brought back to the site and your gold account will have been activated.
